Long lean baby!
Elliott Agnes had her 4 month appointment today (shots, by the way, are very very bad!!!) and beyond getting very upset at the shots, she did wonderfully. She got measured and weighed too.
Her head is at the 50th percentile. Her weight is at the 25th percentile at 12.85 pounds.
Her height you ask?? Little Ellie-bear is off the charts (seriously- the nurse wrote down the percentage as 97 with an arrow pointing up) at 27 inches long!!!!
We are going to be needing a bigger car seat for our little monkleton. And she gets to start on rice cereal--fun! I'll post pix of her first eating experience.

Regional linguistics survey
Because I am bored at work, I have decided to conduct my own little highly-unscientific regional linguistics survey. Also feel free to add any terms I may have missed:
Which one do you say?
- teeter totter or see saw?
- pop or soda or coke?
- bubbler or drinking fountain?
- tennis shoes or gym shoes or sneakers?
- couch or sofa or davenport?
- parking ramp or parking structure or parking garage?
- shirt or blouse?
- porch or stoop?
- pants or slacks? or perhaps trousers?
- bathroom or restroom or washroom?
- bag or sack?
- bucket or pail?
When you say these 2 different words, do they sound the same?
- pin/pen
- windy/wendy
- cot/caught
- don/dawn
And of course....
- "wash" or "warsh"?

Great, just GREAT
So, these are my celebrity "matches". There were so few of them, that it made me include the male matches in order to generate my collage. What-EV-AR.
UPDATE: I tried some other pictures of myself, and for some reason, I keep getting all these Asian matches. I even "matched" Emperor Hirohito. WTF?!! Check it out:

One from the archives..
The son of my dear friends Dawn & Eric will be turning 6 soon, and when I asked him about this, he said to me: "Jege, I will be six on my birthday, but right NOW I am five-and-three-quarters".
It's a world of difference at that age, five versus five-and-three-quarters. I remember when I had just turned seven, and we were over at one of my parents' friends' houses. They had a daughter "just my age" according to my dad, who was trying to reassure me that I would not be bored out of my skull while the adults swilled sangria on the backyard deck, and discussed Annie Hall.
So they introduced me to the "just my age" girl, and left us there to play.
"How old are you?" she asked, hand on hip.
"Seven" I replied.
"WELL." She said in the tone of an annoyed socialite, "I am SEVEN-AND-A-HALF, and I take RIDING LESSONS".
I was immediately furious with my dad; "Just my age" my ASS!!!!! She's seven-and-a-fucking-HALF!!!! And riding lessons? PLEASE.
"Riding lessons, huh?" I observed innocently "Like on your broom?"
It was a lonnnnnnng afternoon.
