Cross Stitching Kicks Ass!

It must be a nesting instinct or something but I have been getting a strange urge to cross stitch something, so I need some ideas of what the saying should be. I personally like Jege's "Go Fuck Yourself" cross stitched pillow (esp when the cat sits in front of certain letters so it reads "Fuck our elf."--if there aren't already pix of this posted on the blog, then shame on you, Jege.) But I think I need an original one. Please offer up suggestions; profanity preferred, but not required.

Sho Nuff, Jege posted the cross stitch pillow early on in the blog, but I alos think the alternate "fuck our elf" shot needs to be posted.

Now remember, Em made that cross-stitched pillow. She can also give you the website where you can get all sorts of kits for similarly-sloganed patterns.

http://www.subversivecrossstitch.com/ is the wonderful site I found the pattern for Jege's pillow...Jege, you should post a pic o' your towels, too :)

There are some new kits available on the subversive site..very fun.

Also, if you're feeling less crazed and a bit more toned-down, cross-stitching stuff for people who are going to have a baby and such is a nice idea. i got a coolio kit thing that includes a quilt that has a pattern 'x'ed' on it and a key to it w/ colors and has a neat thing going on--hopefully it will turn out okay so I won't feel like a dork giving it as a gift...or for the holidays..I have realized i can't do ANYTHING if it's for me..no f'ing motivation...for a gift, for some reason, i can do it. weird and wacky stuff.

keep me posted on what you end up doing--i'd like to see it. have fun xxx-stitching!

well, here are a couple of ideas (mostly taken from my older sister amy's pins attached to her stone washed jacket in high school):

- i'm not as think as you stoned i am.
- good girls go to heaven, bad girls go everywhere.

here's a personal favorite, and although it might take some time it would be well worth it:

"Love is a snowmobile racing across the tundra and then suddenly it flips over, pinning you underneath. At night, the ice weasels come."

or the good old "stick it to the man" might be a fine choice.

How about "Never trust whitey"?

Oh, and Thomas has a point here. I hear that Cross-stitching leads to harder things. Before you know it, youre crocheting afghans, or making those little poodle toilet paper roll covers.

I resent the suggestion that cross-stitching is a gateway craft. I can stop anytime I want. But Nicky (Rob's best friend) has already placed a holiday order for a pillow that says "Get Bent"

Just remember that when you're out on the street, begging for yarn and turning tricks for cross-stitch templates....
