See You In Hell!

Friday, March 21, 2008

things that seem like a good idea at the time, but later turn out to be really bad ideas:

  • Riding a bicycle while holding onto a dog on a leash (Dad, thanks for this one!!)
  • Joining Columbia Record house.
  • Cashing in your life savings and giving it all to an apocalyptic, charismatic leader who is a major stockholder in kool-aid.
  • Telling your spouse about the time you caught the clap from a haitian dwarf.
  • Jello shots.
  • Refinishing those hardwood floors yourself.
  • Shaving your legs when you are in a hurry.
  • Ferrets.

This is an ongoing list, so please feel free to add your own.

• buying a large bottle of Purple Passion because you think you will NOT drink it all in one night, thus saving money.

-Kissing the guy with the awesome neck tattoo because he sure as heck doesn't act like he's in a relationship with someone else.

-Getting way too drunk in high school and wandering down to the college to see that boy in the freshman guy's dorm your friend has a crush on.

-Zubaz...no wait, those never sounded like a good idea and it's horrifying that they're making a comeback. Ewww!

Making a beer run on your bicycle because you're too drunk to drive... and trying to ride home wasted, with a case of beer balanced on your handlebars, and crashing into a giant hedge right in front of your house where all your fellow partygoers can see you and laugh theirselves shitless.

And yes Lisa, this was in Iowa City, and the beer store in question was Dirty John's.

Ah, Dirty Johns...those were the good old days. There is also the "I'm way too drunk to walk home, therefore, let me borrow your bike." story.
