See You In Hell!

Random picture from my past European travels (because I am bored & stuff, and my sisters don't seem to be posting anything lately...)

I am also sitting at work, with the book "ACI Manual Of Concrete Practice" (book 2 of 5) propped open in front of me, semi-exhaustively poring over the section called 'Guide To Formwork For Architectural Concrete'.

It occurs to me that, while the knowledge of industry-specific construction practices and material tolerances are crucial to the success of any architectural design, I would rather run naked through a Teamster's meeting than read about them on such a nice sunny day.

So anyway, here's a picture of La Defense in Paris:

how much did you post on fun websites while you were finishing your final thesis and having a breakdown every other day?

What I think is great irony is how surely a therapist would try to help you reach attainable baby steps like, for example, getting the breakdowns to change from every other day to every 3rd day and then they'd try to sell that BS to you as a great big fucking improvement. Por ejemplo, my crack team of doctors (emphasis on "crack") suggested that there were two differnet ways to look at my awful migraine situation: one (the normal viewpoint): we changed my birth control to try and help with the headaches but it backfired and I got a headache that lasted about a month before it started to subside. Or two (the Pollyanna bullshit class is half full viewpoint): we changed something and it had an effect on the headaches thus we know we are onto something. Anyhoo, am doing much better of late with regard to headaches, just felt rant was justified and applicable here.
